East meets West
While flipping through my February 2011 issue of Vogue magazine last night and fell in love with the spread entitled “Gangs of New York”, in particular Rodarte’s layout. The blue and white printed fabric is reminiscent of the finest Chinoiserie wallpaper or Chinese porcelain. The use of vibrant cobalt blue and brown is beautiful.  I find the fabric’s mimicry of wood...

Maison Moschino
The whimsy that Moschino offers in both their clothing and accessory designs is reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland and her various dream sequences.  You too can dream like that of Alice at Maison Moschino, Milan, Italy.                                              Zzzzzzzzzzzzz                                               The Ribbon                                               Sweet...

Deep Sea Creation
Have you seen the Octopus chair designed by Máximo Riera? It is exquisite!  Although it seems more like a gallery piece, I think it would look lovely in a minimalist styled home. What do you think?

Closet Case
I had to clean out my clothing closet this morning due to a leak.  It got me thinking of how I will organize my next closet. I have decided that I may need an extra room of sorts; I want/need a dressing room like Jenna Lyons. *Domino Magazine Here she replaced the settee with two dressers. *Livingetc. Either way, I want it. Do you have any suggestions or inspiring photos  that I could use...

Luxuriant
Lanvin, Lanvin, Lanvin=L’amour pur. I’m in love with Lanvin’s spring 2011 campaign shot by Steven Meisel; if not for the clothes definitely for the interior decor.  The lush velvets, the exotic animal prints, the gold/brass accents on side tables, ottomans and chairs.  Enjoy…I did!                                What do you think?

Beauty Rest
Starting this afternoon I pledge to make the time to rest.  Although there is much work to be done, a nap here or there will not kill me. I will be resting just as stylishly as Ms. Naomi does. *Vogue Italia Enjoy your weekend!

Birkin Bag?
A reusable tote bag with a screen print of an Hermes Birkin, for which there is a three month wait list. Why would I want to purchase this? All it would be is a constant reminder that I am NOT on the three year long waiting list for an actual Birkin and won’t be anytime soon. photoNYTimes

Office Space
After enduring yet another snow storm in NYC and having to schelp to work in all it’s glory, it helped me see the importance of having a work space at home. I’m looking to incorporate a workspace within my living room.  Each of the photos below contain an element needed to not only tie the entire room together, but also make my space beautiful and functional. While overhead lighting...

Bootie Love
Have you ever gone window shopping, telling yourself you’re ‘just looking”? Yeah, you know what I’m talking about! All I can say is, ‘it was love at first sight’.  I walked into Zara this afternoon and there they were..they practically called my name.   I can not wait to wear them with a beautiful, ultra fem dress similar to this, * Paired with black...

NYC Blizzard 2010
Exactly one week ago NYC was covered under a blanket of snow. These shots were taken at the very begining of the storm. It was 1:45 pm, Sunday December 26, 2010. I was waiting for the 4 train at 161st Street-Yankee Stadium. The Blizzard snow fall amounted to 22 inches in the Bronx in less than 24 hours. It was quite and desolate as the snow fell; it was beautiful.

Here is a follow up on the Narcissus bulbs I am forcing in water instead of planting them in soil. They are growing beautifully, don’t you think?

New Digs
I have begun my search to move into a new apartment within the next few months.  A new apartment is what I need to explore an aesthetic I have been wanting to embrace for some time;enter designer Alex Papachristitis. I love the warm gray with bright white trim. I will try and emulate his  style by using a similar color scheme and using the vintage brass decorative items I have collected over...
